Here's how we actually got started!

Lisa Vandyke--

When my daughter got orthodontic braces at age 12, we couldn't find ANYTHING at all that was suitable for her to take her dental hygiene items to school with her. Soon, she stopped taking care of her teeth and I seemed to be fussing at her all the time to take her toothbrush and stuff with her. She told me how embarrassing it was to carry everything in a plastic bag or how she'd forgetten and left something she needed lying on the bathroom counter at home. Once, she accidentally threw away one of the orthodontic toothbrushes she'd left on her lunch tray. So, we decided to MAKE her a case that she WOULD use! She designed it herself to hold all her things and be easy to carry. It would fit in her backback and provide her the privacy she needed. When she took our hand-made prototype to school that first day, the other kids were very interested in it and asked about getting one for themselves. With that, the Lord inspired us to have the case professionally and commercially made using water-resistent, high quality materials; to patent it; and make it available to everyone. With design in hand, I approached a company to have it made. With God's leading and help, here we are.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn early on that the GoPak is very versatile and works VERY well for carrying diabetic supplies. Many of our first sales of the GoPak were to teens with juvenile diabetes for taking their diabetic supplies to school with them. This opened up another avenue / market for sales and an opportunity for ministry as well.

For now, we are offering the GoPak to orthodontic/medical offices and suppliers for resale to their clients, or any other place, that might be interested in buying wholesale products to retail. We also offer the GoPak as a fund-raising project for non-profit organizations, schools, bands, churches and ministries.

All of the owners of Divine Inventions are Christians with a desire to help fund ministries and missions. The profits from our business will be used to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and hurting world. We want everyone to know that Jesus is the answer, and the way to eternal life! And we desire to obey the "great commission" to go out into the world and preach the gospel, so that people will know the Love of our Savior.

We partner with national ministries such as:

Joyce Meyer Ministries (preaching and practical teaching help for everybody)
Mercy Ministries (ministering Jesus, love and help to young girls who are hurting, pregnant, or in other trouble or life endangered from anorexia or abuse, etc.)
Life Today (to dig wells for fresh water in Africa)

We are a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, and will participate in their missions projects.

We operate our company based on Christian principals and ethics, and also offer a quality product. If for any reason something doesn't work for you, we'll do our best to make it right. We pray for all our customers, especially those with diabetes, that the Lord will heal you. He's still on the throne and is a healer still today. We know!
He healed Lisa of diabetes in 1999. Praise the Lord!

Getting this business started has been a major undertaking! We've worked for over a year and a half with a wonderful manufacturing company in California to refine the design and manufacture the case for us. And we were blessed to have a Christian patent attorney in Waco, Texas file our patent. Plus, the efforts of friends and family pulling together to help launch this enterprise. We couldn't have made it without your help! God bless you all!
